Come and meet Budrich Academic at the International Studies Association (ISA) conference in San Francisco April 3 to 6! The ISA's annual convention is one of the biggest conferences in the social sciences, attracting around 5,000 delegates and hundreds of exhibitors each year.
The 2013 edition is the 54 th ISA annual meeting, bringing together scholars from the fields of politics, IR, sociology, gender studies, pedagogics, area studies, and many more. The motto for this year's programme, co-chaired by Prof Tanja Börzel of the FU Berlin, is ' The Politics of International Diffusion. Regional and Global Dimensions ' , inviting debate on questions of norm diffusion in all shapes and forms.
Budrich's Commissioning Editor Jakob Horstmann will be at ISA for the full length of the conference, meeting with potential new authors and partner publishers. However, at academic conferences like IPSA’s world congress Barbara Budrich enjoys stepping put of those shadows, catching up with her authors – some of whom she has known for decades – and exchanging new ideas with scholars from all over the world...
Budrich´s Commissioning Editor for Politics Jakob Horstmann will attend the second joint PhD symposium on South East Europe at Goldsmiths University , London, on Monday, June 18th. For the second time after 2010, young scholars researching the region will come together to present their findings and share results. Organised jointly by the London School of Economics, UCL's School of Slavonic and East European Studies and Goldsmiths' Centre for the Study of the Balkans the one-day conference will bring together participants from all over the globe.
From June 20th to 22nd, budrich academic will join the conference of the British International Studies Association (BISA) and the International Studies Association (ISA) in Edinburgh, Scotland. Commissioning Editor Jakob Horstmann is looking forward to meeting current and prospective budrich authors among the more than 1,200 delegates expected at the joint event of these two major political science organisations. Convened to the theme of “Diversity in the Discipline: Tension or Opportunity in Responding to Global Challenges”, BISA-ISA is the biggest political science event of the year in the UK.
